BurgTV is a media player for your own playlists, developed in Lugano, Switzerland. This page explains who makes it, what it does and does not do, how we test each version and how to reach us.
Who makes BurgTV
BurgTV is a sole proprietorship based in Lugano, Switzerland, that designs, develops and maintains all the apps: the TV app (Fire TV, Google TV, Android TV), the app for Android phones and tablets, and the app for iPhone and iPad. Swiss law applies; the full details of the data controller are in the privacy policy.
What BurgTV does, and what it doesn’t
- It is a neutral player: it plays the M3U playlists, Xtream Codes logins, Portal sources and personal Jellyfin servers that you add.
- It is not a content service: BurgTV does not provide, sell, host or index channels, movies or series, and does not point you to where to find them. The app comes with no content preloaded.
- Your source stays yours: you add it on each device; nothing is transferred automatically between TV, phone and tablet.
Our principles
- No advertisingThere are no ads in the apps, neither in the free version nor in Premium.
- No data soldWe do not sell or rent data. Crash reports are anonymous.
- Statistics only with consentUsage statistics stay off until you turn them on, and you can turn them off at any time.
- Clear paymentsPremium for TV and Android is paid on app.burgtv.com through Stripe; on iPhone and iPad through the App Store. Card details are handled by Stripe or Apple.
How we test each version
Before every release we try the app on real devices: a Fire TV Stick with Fire OS, a Google TV device, an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S22) and an iPhone, plus emulators and simulators for tablets and iPad. For testing and for the pictures on this site we use a demo playlist with test content, never real channels. Every version has public release notes: see What’s new in BurgTV.

Does BurgTV sell IPTV subscriptions or channels?
No. BurgTV only sells the Premium features of the app. Channels, movies and series come from the source you add.
