BurgTV is a neutral IPTV player for Fire TV, Google TV, Android TV, Android phones, iPhone and iPad. Here is everything it does, where it works and what needs Premium. You bring your own source: BurgTV provides no content.

In the living room on Android TV, Fire TV and Google TV, in your hand on iPhone, iPad and Android. The same polished interface on every screen; some features, such as Multi-View and recordings, are built for the TV.

TV guide, Tonight on TV and catch-up
The guide shows what’s on now and next, channel by channel, without leaving the video. Tonight on TV gathers prime time and, if your source offers catch-up, you can rewatch shows that already aired.

Timeshift up to 120 minutes and recordings
Pause live TV, go back up to 120 minutes and resume whenever you like, on TV, phone and tablet. On the TV you can also record a show for personal use, or schedule a recording from the guide.

4-screen Multi-View and Picture-in-Picture
Follow up to four live streams on one screen (two on devices with little memory) and choose which one to hear; each window uses one connection from your source. With Picture-in-Picture the video keeps playing in a small window while you do something else.

Sports with reminders
Today’s events by sport and competition, with times in your time zone. A reminder alerts you before the start, so you never miss kickoff.

Trailers and Check availability
Movie and series pages with plot, cast and trailer. With Check availability BurgTV searches your playlists for the title.

Kids profile and parental controls
Everyone gets their own profile. The Kids profile shows only titles suited to the chosen age thanks to age ratings; unrated titles stay hidden. Parental controls are locked with a PIN; with profiles you can also set a daily limit and viewing hours.

Connect Xtream Codes, M3U playlists, your Jellyfin server or a Portal. The app is available in 21 languages. You bring the source: BurgTV only plays what you add.

On the TV: watching live
In the app for Fire TV, Google TV and Android TV, live TV is free. Two playback engines (ExoPlayer with FFmpeg, and libVLC), up to 4K when the stream and the device support it, multiple audio and subtitle tracks. If a channel drops, BurgTV retries on its own. You choose how the preview goes full screen in Settings > Theme > Full-screen transition: Automatic, Zoom or Fade. Updates from the website download only the version that fits the device’s processor, so they are lighter.

TV Guide and Sports
The TV Guide loads automatically with Xtream Codes or from the playlist’s url-tvg; for channels without a guide, on the TV you can add an XMLTV source in Settings > TV Guide > Additional EPG sources > Add XMLTV source. Free shows 3 days, Premium up to 14. If times are off, the per-playlist Time shift setting goes from -12 to +12 h.

Movies and series
On the TV, the Movies and Series sections need Premium and present the titles from your own source in a tidy layout.

- Recently added and Continue Watching: a movie or episode joins Continue Watching after 5 seconds of viewing and resumes from the right spot on every screen
Multi-View and recordings
With Multi-View you watch up to 4 channels at once (2 on devices with less than 1.5 GB of RAM). Each tile uses one connection from your source, and many subscriptions allow only 1 or 2. Recordings start from the player or are scheduled from the guide (Scheduled recordings) and are saved to the TV device’s internal storage. To share at home there is a small local server with a QR code, reachable only on your home network, with an MP4 copy on request. Both features are Premium and TV-only.
Each profile has its own recordings and scheduled recordings. Recordings are for personal use, respecting the rights of your source.
Profiles, Kids profile and parental controls
- Parental controls (free): 4-digit PIN, Minimum Age (All, 7+, 12+, 14+, 16+, 18+), block a single channel by holding OK in the list
- Daily time limit and time window per profile (Premium)
- Separate profiles for everyone in the house (Premium)
- Kids profile (“Kids”, Premium): maximum age 12 or lower; unrated titles stay hidden; leaving it requires the PIN
Age ratings come from public TMDB data: only title and year are sent, no personal data. Full guide: parental controls in BurgTV.
On phones and tablets
The apps for Android and for iPhone and iPad are built for watching on the go: the guide is shown per channel inside live TV, not as the full TV grid. iOS details: BurgTV on iPhone and iPad.

On Android, from November 10, 2026, offline viewing, Picture-in-Picture and timeshift require Premium, as on the TV (table below). On iPhone and iPad, Premium is purchased in the App Store.
Supported sources and 21 languages
BurgTV plays M3U playlists (by URL link), Xtream Codes accounts, your personal Jellyfin server and Portal (MAC + URL). On the TV you add them at first launch or from Settings > My Lists > Add playlist. The app comes in 21 languages, including English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish, Dutch, Polish, Russian and Arabic. No ads; analytics are optional and stay off until you consent.
Free or Premium, on TV and Android
Prices: license at app.burgtv.com for CHF 8.90 a year with 7 days free, or CHF 25.90 once, for the TV (Fire TV, Google TV, Android TV) and for Android phones and tablets. iPhone and iPad: 7-day trial, then purchase in the App Store (price shown in the app); with the same Apple ID it works on iPhone and iPad. The TV and Android apps are available at download.burgtv.com.
On Android phones and tablets every feature is included until November 10, 2026; from that day BurgTV is free with the same limits as the TV, and Premium is activated with the website license, valid on 5 devices in total across TV and Android. Anyone using the Android app before November 10, 2026 gets 3 months of Premium as a gift.
The website license works on 5 devices in total across TVs (Fire TV, Google TV, Android TV) and Android phones or tablets. On iPhone and iPad, Premium is purchased separately in the App Store.

What is free in BurgTV?
On the TV, and on Android from November 10, 2026: 1 playlist, live TV, a 3-day guide, 10 favorites and parental controls. Until that date everything is included on Android, and anyone using the app before then gets 3 months of Premium.
What does Premium unlock on the TV?
Unlimited playlists, Movies and Series, catch-up, a 14-day guide, timeshift, Multi-View, Picture-in-Picture, recordings, profiles and Kids profile, reminders, buffer size and fast full-screen channel switching.
Does the website license work on iPhone?
No. The app.burgtv.com license covers up to 5 devices across TV and Android. On iPhone and iPad, Premium is bought in the App Store after a 7-day trial and works on both with the same Apple ID.
Does BurgTV work without a source?
No. BurgTV is only a player and contains no channels or movies: you need your own source, such as an M3U playlist, an Xtream Codes account, a Jellyfin server or a Portal.
Which devices does it run on?
Fire TV Stick and Cube, Google TV Streamer, boxes and TVs with Android TV or Google TV, Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad. Newer Fire TV devices running Vega OS (for example the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, the 2nd-generation Fire TV Stick HD and the new 3rd-generation Fire TV Stick 4K) cannot install Android apps or APK files. BurgTV works on Fire TV devices running Fire OS, the Android-based system: for example the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, the Fire TV Cube and earlier Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K models.
