How to watch IPTV on Samsung and LG Smart TVs

Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) TVs don’t run Android, so players like BurgTV can’t be installed directly. You can still watch your M3U and Xtream Codes playlists in two ways, honestly and with no tricks. You bring the source.

Why there’s no direct app

Samsung TVs run Tizen and LG TVs run webOS, both different from Android. BurgTV is available for Fire TV, Google TV, Android TV, Android phones, iPhone and iPad, so it can’t be installed natively on these TVs. There are, however, two routes that genuinely work.

Method 1 — AirPlay from iPhone or iPad

If your Samsung (2018 or later) or LG (2019 or later) supports AirPlay 2, you can send BurgTV from your iPhone or iPad with no extra device:

  1. Open BurgTV on your iPhone or iPad and start the channel.
  2. Tap the AirPlay icon and pick your Samsung or LG.
  3. The video plays on the TV.

From an Android phone, direct casting isn’t available: use Method 2. The iPhone and iPad app has a 7-day free trial, then Premium via an App Store purchase. See BurgTV on iPhone and iPad.

Method 2 — A small Android box on the HDMI port

For the full experience, plug a small Android device into the TV’s HDMI port and install BurgTV there:

On the TV, live TV, the TV guide and parental controls are free; timeshift, Multi-View and recordings are Premium. See all features.

Which method should you pick?

Have an iPhone or iPad and want to start right away with no extra device? Use AirPlay. Want to watch every day with a remote and a TV guide, without tying up your phone, or do you have an Android phone? A small Android box is the most convenient option.

Legal and honest

BurgTV is a neutral player: it provides no content, it plays your legitimate source, whether via AirPlay or on the box. Set up your source: Xtream Codes or an M3U playlist.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install BurgTV directly on Samsung or LG?

No. Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) aren’t Android, so the app can’t be installed natively. Use AirPlay from an iPhone or iPad, or a small Android box via HDMI.

Does my Samsung or LG support AirPlay?

Many Samsung TVs from 2018 and LG TVs from 2019 support AirPlay 2. Look for “AirPlay” in the TV settings: if it’s there, you can send BurgTV from an iPhone or iPad.

Can I cast from an Android phone?

No, BurgTV for Android doesn’t send video directly to the TV. On Samsung and LG, use an Android box plugged into HDMI (Method 2).

What’s the best option for daily use?

A small Android device (Fire TV Stick, Google TV Streamer or an Android TV box) via HDMI with BurgTV installed: a remote, a TV guide and up to 4K, if the stream and device support it.

Is sending video with AirPlay legal?

Yes. BurgTV is a neutral player; legality depends on your source. Only use legitimate playlists and subscriptions.
