How to install BurgTV on any device

BurgTV has three apps: one for TVs (Fire TV, Google TV, Android TV), one for Android phones and tablets and one for iPhone and iPad. This page tells you which one you need, what your device must have and how to check the file you download; each TV has its own detailed guide. You bring your own source: BurgTV provides no content.

What your device needs
- TV and Android apps: Android 7.0 or later (on Fire TV: Fire OS based on Android 7.0 or later) and an ARM processor. Devices with an Intel (x86) processor are not supported.
- iPhone and iPad: iOS or iPadOS 16 or later.
- Space: the TV app is about 60 MB; keep some free space for the TV guide and, with Premium, for timeshift and recordings.
- Your source: an M3U link, an Xtream Codes login, a Portal address with MAC or your own Jellyfin server.
Android phone or tablet, step by step
- Open download.burgtv.com/mobile.apk in the phone’s browser.
- Open the downloaded file and tap Install; if Android asks, allow your browser to install apps.
- Open BurgTV and add your source in Settings > Content sources > Add.
On Android every feature is included until November 10, 2026; from that day the same limits as on the TV apply, and Premium uses the website license (5 devices across TV and Android). Anyone who uses the Android app before November 10, 2026 gets 3 months of Premium as a gift.
Check the downloaded file (SHA-256)
On download.burgtv.com every APK has its SHA-256 fingerprint, a long code that changes completely if even one byte of the file is different. To check it, download the APK on a computer and run one of these commands in the folder where the file is; the result must match the published fingerprint exactly.

On the TV, the Welcome screen asks for your source at first launch; later you add more in Settings > My Lists > Add playlist. Guides for each type: M3U, Xtream Codes, Portal, Jellyfin. You add the source on each device: nothing is transferred between TV and phone.
Updating and uninstalling
- TV app: it tells you when a new version is available; confirm and it updates without losing your playlists.
- Android app: download the new version from download.burgtv.com and install it over the old one.
- iPhone and iPad: updates come from the App Store.
- To uninstall, remove BurgTV like any other app. What changed in each version is in What’s new.
Frequently asked questions
Is installing BurgTV legal?
Yes. BurgTV is a neutral player: installing and using it is legal. You connect a source you have the right to use.
Can I install the TV app on my phone?
Use the app made for your device: tv.apk for Fire TV, Google TV and Android TV, mobile.apk for Android phones and tablets. The interfaces are designed differently.
Does BurgTV work on a Fire TV with Vega OS?
No. Vega OS cannot install Android apps or APK files. BurgTV works on Fire TV devices with Fire OS.
How do I check that the APK is genuine?
Compare its SHA-256 fingerprint with the one published on download.burgtv.com, using shasum on macOS or Linux or certutil on Windows.
Which iOS version do I need?
iOS or iPadOS 16 or later. The app is on the App Store.
Do I lose my playlists when I update?
No. Updating the TV or Android app over the previous version keeps your playlists and settings.
